All India Football Federation (AIFF) is on its high strides as FIFA subsidiary Early Warning System (EWS) signs a partnership with it. The two bodies have signed a monitoring service agreement to protect the integrity of Football. The purpose of the agreement is to retain the sanctity of the game in every possible way. The agreement covers all matches of the Indian national football league, I-League and the on-going Indian Super League (ISL) for the season of 2014 / 2015.

EWS will work in close association with AIFF to tackle the threat and deal with various problems pertaining to the integrity of football in the region by assisting the AIFF and EWS’s services, knowledge, procedures and technical facilities. Match mixing and betting are the two most critical threats which is hampering the true spirit of the game. EWS will be monitoring betting markets on irregularities and analyse specific match situation in its sporting context. The evaluation and analysis of EWS will indicate strong grounds and well defined parameters to indicate strong grounds for suspecting match fixing. EWS will also alert AIFF in every possible way.

Under the mentorship AIFF President Praful Patel, the organisation had also appointed an integrity officer who will be closely keeping a watch over the various malpractices and will be combatting the same. This is an important step that will showcase the fundamental role of EWS in safeguarding the integrity of the game. AIFF is surely a strong partner in the Global fight against match manipulation.

Praful Patel profile as the President of the game is playing a crucial role in redefining the modus operandi of the organisation. This is an ethical project that forms an integral component of FIFA’s integrity initiative and supports AIFF’s endeavours pertaining to the fields of prevention, risk management and information gathering.
