R. R Patil is on his way of recovery

Former Home Minister R. R. Patil has been battling for cancer and has been undergoing a thorough Oncological treatment at the Bandra Hospital. The doctors said he is now in a stable condition and there have been visitors who have thronged to meet him to wish him a speedy recovery. The hospital source said that a team of experts has been appointed to take care of him 24 hours and he is presently being in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In order to protect him from any sort of infection, the medical has decided to keep him in the ICU. He is undergoing chemotherapy and he is responding quite well.

Patil’s long time colleague and senior NCP Leader Praful Patel has wished his speedy recovery as he writes on his twitter wall about the same. Patil has been related to NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) for a long time and has been a strong support in the time of party’s ups and downs. He was also the former Home Minister of Maharashtra and had been responsible for several developmental works in the Naxal inflicted areas of the state. 

Although Praful Patel profile as a NCP leader has been quite prominent, but R. R. Patil has always been a next door face to the people. Popularly known as ‘Aaba’, Patil had a prolonged political career which he commenced from 1979 as he became the member of Sangli Zilla Parishad from Savlaj constituency. He was later o the Maharashtra legislative assembly in 1990, 1995, 1999,2004 and 2009, representing Tasgaon, in Sangli district. In 2004, he took his oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra while he also became the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party's Maharashtra unit and NCP legislative party in Maharashtra.
